Hvide Sande Camping’s beautiful surroundings also offer some of Europe’s best surf spots.

Ringkøbing Fjord, which is 40 km long and 10 km wide, is unique in its class and offers excellent conditions for both windsurfers, kite surfers and SUP surfers, with some of Europe’s best wind and weather conditions.

The water is perfect for all windsurfers, whether you are a complete beginner or very experienced, as there is shallow water up to 600-700 meters from the coast.

If you are looking for a little more of a challenge, the North Sea is 200 meters from the campsite. There are also good conditions for experienced paddle surfers, windsurfers, kite surfers and SUP surfers – the many waves provide good challenges and if you surf at Hvide Sande Sydstrand, there are lifeguards present during the summer season.

In the area there are many surfers of many different nationalities, the surfers are typically very welcoming people who are not afraid to share their knowledge and skills with others, so there are ample opportunities to either brush up the technique or simply learn some basics things of more experienced surfers. Many locals also practice surfing, so there are also many tips and tricks to pick up here.
